University Library Rules and Regulations

Internal Rules of the University Library

The internal regulations of the university library are a set of laws and organizational provisions that readers and users must respect in order to access the resources and benefit from all the services offered.

These rules apply to all beneficiaries: students, teachers, researchers, and other categories affiliated with the library.

New readers must register and returning users must renew their registration at the beginning of each academic year by presenting documents that justify their academic and administrative status.

Anyone interested may consult this regulation and request a copy at any time.

The library includes the following services:

  • Reception and orientation service

  • Acquisition and processing service

  • Bibliographic research service

The management and supervision of these departments are the responsibility of the Library Director, assisted by the administrative service, which handles the following tasks:

  • Proposing acquisition programs for academic references and documentation in coordination with departments

  • Maintaining the thesis database

  • Organizing the library’s documentation using the most modern classification and processing methods

  • Ensuring the preservation of the library’s documentary collection

  • Keeping an inventory register of new acquisitions

  • Assisting teachers, students, and researchers with their bibliographic research

  • Contributing to the promotion of scientific and bibliographic research

The school’s systems and networks department is responsible for supervising, managing, monitoring, and developing the library’s automated software and systems.

  • The library card is personal and non-transferable. It must be presented upon request and returned at the end of studies.

  • The library card must be shown at the entrance to the reading room. Bags must be left in the designated area, and users should keep valuable items with them, as the library administration is not responsible for loss.

  • Unauthorized visits not approved by the School Director or the Library Director are strictly prohibited, regardless of the reason.

  • External individuals may access library services only with written authorization from the School Director and approval from the Library Director, under conditions deemed appropriate.

  • The Library Director has discretionary power to define access conditions and authorize the admission of external students or visitors.

All library materials are available for external borrowing, except for reference documents (encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, scientific journals, rare copies, theses, etc.), which are for on-site consultation only.
